What is breast augmentation by prostheses ?

The mammal augmentation is a surgical procedure consisting of increasing the volume of the breasts or modifying their shape in order to increase the cup size of the patient's bust.
This procedure addresses small breasts resulting from weight loss, pregnancy, or congenital malformation.

The procedure involves the placement of breast implants, which will modify the shape, contour, and/or volume of the breasts. The implant has a silicone shell and can be round or anatomical.
It is inserted into the breast through an incision that can be made around the areola, under the breast, or in the axillary (armpit) region. Many types of implants are available to suit all body shapes.

Choosing the right implant is essential to achieve a natural and harmonious result that meets the patient's desires.

FAQ

Dermatological surgery can treat benign lesions (cysts, lipomas, moles) and malignant lesions (carcinomas, melanomas). It can also be used for cosmetic procedures, such as scar revision.

Most procedures are performed under local anesthesia. The intervention is therefore painless. Slight discomfort may be felt in the hours that follow, but it is generally well tolerated.

The duration varies depending on the type of lesion and its location, but the majority of procedures are carried out in less than 30 minutes, on an outpatient basis.

It is recommended that you first consult your primary care physician, who can refer you to a specialist if necessary. However, you can also make an appointment directly at certain centers.

Medical procedures (such as the removal of suspicious or cancerous lesions) may be covered by health insurance. However, purely cosmetic procedures are generally not.
